The sampler, long before the first punch card or circuit diagram, laid out an instruction set in fiber. Each tiny 'x' a pixel, each row a line of code, meticulously recorded as an 'exemplum' for future execution across generations of makers. It was a tangible algorithm, a reproducible pattern etched in thread, ensuring beautiful results could be replicated anywhere a needle and fabric could be found.
