At 23:40 a deck is saved as report_final.pdf, and the word means bedtime. The boss reads it and sends eleven fair comments, so the next save shouts: report_FINAL_final.pdf. Then the client asks for one little change to slide four, and final gets a version number. Nobody plans to name files this way. The names pile up, each typed later and more tired than the last. PowerPoint has been around since April 1987, and nobody has found a cure.
